PURPOSE: To make an alignment of a wheel of an automobile including a head apparatus for coupling to the wheel of the automobile and a hand held module.
CONSTITUTION: A wheel units provide angle information related to an alignment of a wheel of an automobile. A hand held module 16 is coupled to wheel alignment apparatus 18L, 18R, 20L, 20R, to provide information to an operator via a liquid crystal display. The hand held module 16 includes a controller 122 and memory means 124, 126, 128. A keypad input 130 for receiving an input from the operator is provided. The liquid crystal contains a liquid crystal display matrix for forming an image. Contract control means is coupled to the liquid crystal display matrix, and a contrast signal is provided to this liquid crystal display matrix.
