To provide a wheel for an automobile capable of exerting high durability in a constitution including a front flange portion made by being folded backward at an outer peripheral edge portion of a wheel disc.
The front flange portion 31 formed at the outer peripheral edge portion of the wheel disc 3 includes an annular front peripheral portion 32 on a design surface side and an annular back peripheral portion 33 folded backward from the annular front peripheral portion 32 and extended radially inwardly to be in surface contact with a back surface 32a of the annular front peripheral portion 32. The annular front peripheral portion 32 and the annular back peripheral portion 33 are integrally inclined to the surface side. The front flange portion 31 therefore is capable of mitigating stress concentration on the front flange portion 31 due to load generated while the automobile is running. Further, the front flange portion 31 is capable of exerting high durability against a radially inward load generated by a contact with a curbstone or the like, because of a shape effect of the front flange portion 31.
