Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel balance weight assuring a less environmental load when it is disposed of.
SOLUTION: The wheel balance weight includes a weight 2 made of zinc or zinc alloy, furnished on at least one surface with grooves 21 formed across the width, and assuming approximately a band having approximately uniform thickness and a mounting means 3 for mounting the weight 2 at the rim of a wheel. This prevents contamination of the surrounding environment when such weights are disposed of. The zinc or zinc alloy to constitute the weights has a relatively low melting point and easy to apply processing, and therefore, the manufacture and mounting can be performed easily.
