To provide a wheel bearing device capable of suppressing partial wear, noise and vibration of a brake rotor during braking.
In this wheel bearing device, rolling elements 21 are installed between plural-line rolling surfaces 3 formed in the inner circumference of an outer member 1 and plural-line rolling surfaces 19 formed in the outer circumference of an inner member 11, while the inner member 11 is formed with a wheel installation flange 15. A run-out range of a side face 15a of the wheel installation flange 15 installed with the brake rotor 30 is restricted within a standardized value to prevent the noise or the vibration of the brake rotor 30 during braking. Minus axial gaps are formed between the rolling elements 21, and the rolling surfaces 3 and the rolling surfaces 19 to increase rigidity. Thereby, when a vehicle turns, an inclination of the inner member 11 caused by a moment load from a wheel is prevented to prevent contact of the brake rotor 30 installed to the wheel installation flange 15 with a brake pad.
