To restrain run-out of a wheel mounting flange by increasing fastening force of a hub bolt, and provide a low-cost but high-precision wheel bearing device.
A wheel bearing device comprises a bearing 22 housing rolling bodies 36, 37 between inner and outer members 30, 33. A wheel mounting flange 25 is formed in the inner member 30, and a headed hub bolt 26 is implanted in the wheel mounting flange 25. A neck part 48 of the hub bolt 26 is fitted into a through hole 43 in the wheel mounting flange 25. An annular shoulder 45 is formed between an opening of the through hole 43 and a head part 46 of the hub bolt 26, and the head part 46 is engaged with an inner diameter of the shoulder 45 to provide a means of stopping rotation of the bolt 26. Also, a spot facing 44 is provided in a through hole opening section of the wheel mounting flange 25 to provide a means of preventing slipping off of the bolt 26 with a sleeve 51 pressed into the outer circumferential surface of its neck part 48.
