To provide a wheel bearing device can inhibit deterioration of teeth of a driving force receiver for a long period of time without the need for a thermal treatment thereof.
A driving force receiver 20 having a plurality of teeth 21 arranged radially in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction is formed on an end surface 13a of a cylindrical portion 13. The driving force receiver 20 is formed, after a swaging portion is formed on the end surface 13a of the cylindrical portion 13, through a plastic deformation by having, for example, a tooth formation punch pressed thereto. A phosphate coating film by parkerizing treatment is formed on a surface of each tooth 21 of the driving force receiver 20 and across the end surface 13a of the cylindrical portion 13.
