Abstract:

To provide a wheel bearing device which can keep a differential pressure between an air pressure in a bearing and an air pressure in a used area within an allowable range without providing a pressure regulating mechanism in the wheel bearing device.SOLUTION: A wheel bearing device 1 has: an outer ring 2; an inner member formed by a hub ring 3 and an inner ring 4; balls 5 arranged in lines and housed between raceway surfaces of the outer ring 2, the hub 3 and the inner ring 4 in a rollable manner; and an inner side seal member 6 and an outer side seal member 9 fitted in an outer side opening and an inner side opening of the outer ring 2, respectively. An air pressure P inside the wheel bearing device 1 is regulated to a predetermined air pressure Pt set according to an environment of a used area of the wheel bearing device 1. At least one of management information related to the air pressure P inside the wheel bearing device 1 and a composition of an atmosphere inside the wheel bearing device 1 is described.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
