To provide a wheel bearing unit which enables a stable and sure pre-pressure adjustment for a bearing structure and cost reduction.
The wheel bearing unit includes a hub wheel 2 having a flange 1 extending in the outer-diameter direction, a constant speed flexible joint 4 on which an outside joint member 3 is fixed to the hub wheel 2, and the bearing structure 40 at the outside of which the hub wheel 2 is fitted. The bearing structure 40 is composed of an angular ball bearing having inner wheels 55, a pair of outer wheels 56 and 57 disposed at the outer periphery of the inner wheels 55, and balls 58 interposed between the inner wheels 55 and the outer wheels 56 and 57. The paired outer wheels 56 and 57 are held between outer packaging members 60 made of a press steel plate for applying bearing pre-pressure.
