To provide a wheel device involving less risk of a steering wheel being turned unintentionally to the left or right or the body shaken by an impact even when a tire goes in bursting (puncture), capable of running without damaging tires even in the punctured condition, precluding a road occupation by the vehicle, traffic snarl, or an induced occurrence, and moving the vehicle to the place of repairing.
The wheel device is equipped with a wheel body 3 to admit installation of a tire 2 and mounted on a vehicle hub 4 and an auxiliary wheel 5 installed on the wheel body in its position inside the vehicle, wherein the auxiliary wheel is mounted on the wheel body rigidly approximately in the concentrical form, and the outside diameter of the auxiliary wheel has a dimension in the middle between the outside diameter of the tire during running and the outside diameter of the wheel body. Favorably a ring-shaped resilient member of solid construction (assist ring 5c) is attached to the peripheral surface of the auxiliary wheel, and a wheel insertion part 5a in almost cylindrical shape is formed in the auxiliary wheel, and the hub is inserted into the wheel insertion part while the wheel body is inserted to the periphery of the wheel insertion part.
