Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the correcting value in a short time by subtracting a running distance from the interval distance between ground devices so as to form the first error, integrating the first error at every time of passing between the ground devices so as to form the second error, and increasing or decreasing the diameter value of a wheel in response to either of the first or second error.
CONSTITUTION: Ground devices 2 are arranged at the specified interval along rails 1 and output the point signals corresponding to the provided positions. A vehicle- mounted device 4 receives and outputs the point signals. A position detecting device 5 computes the running distance between the ground devices 2 based on the rotating amount of an axle and the diameter of a wheel and computes the interval distance between the ground devices 2 in response to the position information expressing the arrangement of the ground devices 2. The running distance is subtracted from the interval distance, and a measuring error D is obtained. The measuring error D is integrated at every time of passing between the ground devices 2, and an accumulated error S is obtained. The value of the wheel diameter of the vehicle is increased or decreased in response to the obtained measuring error D or the accumulated error S. Therefore, algorithm for correcting the wheel diameter is obtained only by the addition or the subtraction, and the correcting value can be obtained in a very short time.
