Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel drive device capable of supplying a lubricant even in starting from stopping.SOLUTION: A wheel drive device includes a motor portion A generating driving force and a speed reducer B reducing the speed of rotations of the motor A, and drives a drive wheel by output of the speed reducer B. The wheel drive device also includes: an oil tank 41 capable of storing a lubricant for lubricating the motor portion A inside; and an oil pump 42 which sucks the lubricant from the oil tank 41, and supplies the lubricant to the motor portion A and the speed reducer B to lubricate and cool the motor portion A and the speed reducer B. In a suction passage 46 from the oil tank 41 to a suction port of the oil pump 42, a one-way valve 48 is provided, which opens when the lubricant flows from the oil tank 41 toward the suction port side of the oil pump 42, and closes when the lubricant flows from the suction port of the oil pump 42 to the oil tank 41 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
