To provide a wheel-driving unit of a so-called in-wheel motor type having a compact constitution including a motor.
The wheel-driving unit 11 comprises an outer-rotor motor 13, a harmonic gear 14, and a wheel 12. The outer-rotor motor 13 comprises a stator 24, and an outer rotor 23 to which torque is imparted by excitation of the stator 24. The harmonic gear 14 comprises a wave-generator 31 mounted on the periphery of the outer rotor 23, a flexible spline 32 which synergically works with rotation of the wave generator 31, and a circular spline 33 which is mounted on the outer periphery of the flexible spline 32 in the irrotational state. The wheel 12 is mounted radially outside of the circular spline 33 so that rotation-output of the flexible spline 32 can be transmitted.
