Abstract:
Provided is a drive control device for an independent wheel drive-type vehicle with which it is possible to inspect all phases prior to vehicle travel for an abnormality in an electric current sensor without addition of a circuit for inspection to the electric current sensor or addition of an electric current source, etc., exclusively for inspection. This drive control device is provided with: a plurality of power circuit units (28) for allowing an electric current to flow to each of a plurality of motors (6); motor drive controllers (30); an inspection reverse torque command unit (36) for causing, when the vehicle is stationary, the motor drive controllers (30) to output a command causing left and right or front and rear motors (6) to generate torques between which the direction of wheel rotation is the opposite; and an abnormality detector (34) for detecting an abnormality in electric current sensors (38) when the electric currents for generating torques in opposite directions are flowing to the motors (6).
