PURPOSE: To position even either wheel accurately by arranging a center pin installing part in a hand part of a wheel installing robot, and installing a center pin selectively in this from a stocker according to a kind of automobile.
CONSTITUTION: In a wheel installing device to install plural kinds of wheels on the car body side by a wheel installing robot in a vehicle assembling line, a center pin installing part 4 in which a center pin 7 (7A to 7C) to position a wheel W to a robot is installed by being fitted in a center hole of a wheel hub W1 so as to be replaceable, is arranged in the tip part center of a hand part arranged through a link mechanism of the wheel installing robot. Plural nut liners 5... and wheel holding means 6... are arranged in a radial shape around it, and the center pin installing part 4 is composed of a socket 11 to be fitted to an upper part of the center pin 7 and a cylinder means having an engaging member to be engaged with an engaging recessed part of the center pin 7 so as to be locked and released.
