To provide a wheel which does not deteriorate its appearance due to the forming of a recessed portion by preventing the forming of the recessed portion along the hump portion on the inside peripheral surface corresponding to a formed hump portion although the wheel is a two-piece type wheel or a three-piece type wheel, and to provide its manufacturing method.

The wheel 1 has a cylindrical rim 2 made of a rolled metallic plate, and the hump portions 22, 23 for engaging with the inner peripheral portion of a tire 5 and arranged at least in the neighborhood of the design surface side of the outside peripheral surface of the rim so as to extrude outward from the periphery of the rim. The outer hump portion 22 is formed so as to extrude outward by forming the inside peripheral surface corresponding to the outer hump portion 22 so as to be a smooth peripheral surface while making the outer hump portion 22 thick by a thickening process.
