A wheel rotation device 1 includes a planetary gear device 6 connected to a motor 2, a wheel rotation member (4) connected to the planetary gear device 6, and a rotation supporting member (5) which freely rotatably supports the wheel rotation member (4) to a body side. A stator and a rotor of the motor 2 are arranged on an inner side of a wheel along an inner peripheral face. The planetary gear device 6 includes a sun gear 62 engaged with an internal gear 61 through a planetary gear 64. In the planetary gear 64, a first gear and a second gear different in diameters are integrally connected. The first gear is engaged with the sun gear 62 and the second gear to the internal gear 61. The first gear is arranged on the inner side in a wheel diameter direction of the stator 21 and the rotor 22. The second gear is disposed on an outer side in the wheel axial direction compared to the first gear.
