To provide a greatly lighter wheel support bearing assembly with a seal securing its sectional height on the side of an outboard and having improved sealing performance in simple construction.

The wheel support bearing assembly comprises an inner member 2 consisting of a hub ring 4 having a wheel mounting flange 12 on the outer periphery at the side end of the outboard and an inner ring 5 fitted to the side end of an inboard of the hub ring 4. The flange 12 has cutout recessed portions 18 in a plurality of circumferential positions on the outer periphery. Each of the cutout recessed portions 18 is recessed in a range from the pitch circle of each of a plurality of arrayed bolt holes 14 of the flange 12 to the side of the inner diameter thereof. An end 1c of an outer member 1 on the side of the outboard is located on the side of the inboard beyond a side edge 2aa of the outboard on a raceway surface 2a of the inner member 2. The seal 7 is constituted by an annular seal core 8 fitted on the outer periphery at the side end of the outboard of the outer member 1 and a rubber elastic body 9 fixed to the seal core 8 and put in slide contact with the inner member 2. It is provided between the outer member 1 and the inner member 2.
