Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wheel support rolling bearing unit having excellent durability without enlarging rotation resistance by further improving a foreign matter intrusion prevention effect to a rolling body installation space by improving seal performance by a seal ring.SOLUTION: A labyrinth seal is formed by making a tip of a labyrinth lip 33 approach and oppose the internal side face of a rotation-side flange 12 over the whole circumference. The outside diameter edge of a circular ring part 35 of the seal ring 14 is protruded to the outside of the radial direction rather than the external peripheral edge of the external end face of an outer ring 2, grease having the same composition as that of lubrication grease filled into an internal space 15 or a urea-based grease is applied on the seal lip 32, and the grease in not applied on the labyrinth lip 33.
