PURPOSE: To assure a predetermined running condition for wheels by disposing a strut-equipped wishbone on an approximately horizontal plane, extending the wishbone approximately in a wheel center transverse plane below a wheel spin axis, and disposing the wishbone at a distance from a tie rod of a steering device.
CONSTITUTION: This wheel suspension has a wishbone 2 with a diagonally provided strut 3, a McPberson damper 1, and a tie rod 4 of a steering device 5. The strut 3 is held on the wishbone 2 by an elastic bearing 10, and the strut 3 and the wishbone 2 are arranged in an approximately horizontal plane below a wheel spin axis R. The strut 3 extends at an acute angle to the wishbone 2 in the direction opposite to driving direction, and the wishbone 2 extends approximately in a wheel center transverse plane a-a. The tie rod 4 is disposed in front of the wishbone 2 directly below the wheel spin axis R with respect to the driving direction and is thereby spaced from the wishbone 2 in a lower position.
