Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength wheel economically by establishing a smaller size of the facility and a reduction of the cost.
SOLUTION: The wheel 1 is composed of a rim made of aluminum alloy and a disc made also of the aluminum alloy. The disc is equipped with a split disc 4 in five segments having the same shape and dimensions and a cup-shaped member 3 formed in a single piece over the whole circumference. The split disc 4 is welded to the cup-shaped member 3 and the rim. Each disc segment 4 has an inside corner part 41r and a corner part 41l in contact mating state with each other and the edge 42r and edge 42l of the disc 4 are in a contact mating state with each other. The ring part 3t on the inside of the cup-shaped member 3 is subjected to a curling process and thereby is caulked to the end on the inside of the segments of the split disc 4. A common through hole 5 is provided in the cup-shaped member 3 and the split disc 4 over the whole circumference.
