Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simply manufacture wheels that have little fear for puncture and good outward aspects by forming a rim on a circumferential wall which is manufactured by drawing a plate material into a cylindrical shape.
CONSTITUTION: A wheel 2 is provided with a rim 5 with a tire in which a tube is set, a hub 8 and a spoke. A blank is drawn into a bottomed and cylindrical in- process material 32, the open end of the cylinder is pressed according to the shape of the end part of the rim and the bottom part 33 is punched into a nearly cylindrical in-process material 34. Then the rim 5 is formed by spinning. The punched bottom 33, on the other hand, is shaped into the hub 8 by press working. A spoke is equipped between the rim 5 and the hub 8.
