To provide a caster fitting structure for a wheelchair alleviating vibrations or shocks applied to a person on the wheelchair when traveling.

The structure comprises one or more than one damper 21, 22 pressed into a caster fitting tube body 16 fixed on the wheelchair main body, a caster axial rod 19 provided with a thread groove 19A on its upper end at least that is inserted into the dampers 21, 22, and a damper fixing nut 26 screwed in the caster axial rod 19 from the upper end. Fastening the upper end of the dampers 21, 22 with the nut 26 can fix the dampers 21, 22 in the caster fitting tube body 16, and a fork arm 17 to support a caster wheel 38 is supported on a lower end of the caster axial rod 19 so as to be rotatable to the right and left. The dampers 21, 22 comprises inner tubes 21A, 22A, outer tubes 21B, 22B, and sealing sleeves 23, 24 provided between the inner tubes 21A, 22A and the outer tubes 21B, 22B.
