To provide a wheelchair which allows a subject of PET diagnosis to move easily around a medical institution while sitting, prevents medical workers around the subject from being exposed to radiation from the subject, and allows the medical workers to grasp the radiation dose radiated from the inside of the subject on real time.
A wheelchair equipped with radiation exposure preventing function is provided which has a means for moving by oneself or with other people's help. The wheelchair has a shielding body 1 surrounding the circumference of the subject and a first radiation detector (radiation monitor 3) disposed in the shielding body 1 to measure/display a radiation dose radiated from the inside of the subject. The shielding body comprises a panel transparent enough at least to secure a visual field and contains a material effective for shielding radiation.
