To improve safety by preventing a wheelchair from being moved by the sudden acceleration of a vehicle, etc., even when the lock of reel rotation is forgotten, and also to prevent a wheelchair fixing device from being enlarged to improve safety.

The wheelchair fixing device fixes the wheelchair to the vehicle by pulling out a plurality of detention members 12 with hooks arranged therein from respective reels 30 so as to hook the hooks in the wheelchair, and winding the detention members 12 by the reels 30 in the above state. The device includes a rotation restricting mechanism 60 for restricting the rotation of the reels 30 through the use of the tension of the detention members 12 when the detention members are about to be pulled out from the reels 30 by external force on the wheelchair.
