To provide a wheelchair formed so as to make a user able to adapt a height position to his request at any time in the wheelchair for a handicapped person provided with a seat part and a traveling frame.

This wheelchair is provided with a lift device for elevating and lowering the seat part or the entire wheelchair and the lift device is provided with members 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 for mutually cooperating in a nesting form. The members 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 form a column 1 in cooperation, two end part members and at least one intermediate member interposed between them are arranged, at least the intermediate member and a first end part member are provided with external screws and at lest the intermediate member and a second external member are provided with internal screws. One of the end part members is provided with a driving device and the driving device bidirectionally rotates the end part member with the longitudinal axis as a center.
