To facilitate adjustment of tension of a belt for lifting a wheelchair by preventing the whole weight of a wheelchair from being applied on a folding belt for folding the wheelchair and thus reducing its strength.

The belt for lifting a wheelchair 30 is hanged on a hook of a lift when folding a wheelchair 10 while the wheelchair is hanged. The belt for lifting a wheelchair has a main belt 32 hanged on the hook of the lift while supporting right and left wheel support frames 12 and the folding belt 36 which brings right and left seat frames 21 close to each other while lifting them. The both ends of the folding belt 36 is connected to the main belt 32. When the main belt 32 is lifted by the lift, both the ends of the folding belt 36 are pulled by the main belt 32 and brings the seat frames 21 close to each other while lifting them.
