Abstract:
To realize a stair lift for a wheelchair capable of suitably ascending/descending stairs.SOLUTION: On the basis of a difference between distances of risers P of stairs S measured by each of a pair of distance measurement sensors 30, a stair lift 100 for a wheelchair can determine the degree of inclination in a traveling direction of the stair lift 100 for the wheelchair with respect to an ascending/descending direction of the stairs S. Therefore, on the basis of the determination that the inclination of the stair lift 100 for the wheelchair is equal to or larger than a predetermined angle, the stair lift 100 for the wheelchair switches such that the rotating speed of a crawler 11 inclined later in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs S is relatively increased. Thereby, the inclination of the lift can be corrected such that the traveling direction of the stair lift 100 for the wheelchair matches the ascending/descending direction of the stairs S. Thus, the stair lift 100 for the wheelchair can suitably ascend/descend the stairs S by traveling while correcting the inclination in the traveling direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
