To provide a wheelchair transferring apparatus for an automobile in which a wheelchair user of normal standards (width size of 70 cm) can ride on a driver seat together with the wheelchair from a sidewalk side to the automobile with a right-hand steering wheel, parked on a road with a simple constitution and a wheelchair seat can be used as a driver seat as it is.

The wheelchair automobile transferring apparatus includes the wheelchair 10 and the automobile 20. The wheelchair 10 has a body, a seat and an elevation mechanism. The body is supported by a plurality of wheels. The body and the seat are relatively vertically movable via the elevation mechanism. The automobile 20 has a wheelchair transferring mechanism 27 for transferring the wheelchair into the automobile 20 and setting the wheelchair together to the driver seat. The wheelchair transferring mechanism 27 has a truck 30 having a fork 28, a truck moving mechanism having rails 26 for moving the truck 30 in the automobile, and a fork elevating mechanism 29 for vertically moving the fork 28 with respect to the truck.
