PURPOSE: To provide a wheelchair transferring device for a building by which a wheelchair can be simply transferred up to an entrance of the building even in a building where stairs are arranged up to a footpath from the entrance of the building.

CONSTITUTION: A wheelchair transferring device for a building is provided with a placing stand 6 which is arranged close to stairs 3 arranged up to an entrance of a building 1 from a footpath 2 and on which a wheelchair can be placed, a raising-lowering device 5 to raise and lower the placing stand 6 at least in a height up to an upper stage of the stairs 3 from the footpath 2 and a cover body 8 to cover a groove part situated between the placing stand 6 and the entrance of the building 1 in a condition where the placing stand 6 is raised up to the upper stage of the stairs 3.
