Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair that can be deformed to a narrow form by an easy and quick operation.SOLUTION: A wheelchair includes: a seat unit 112; a pair of side frames 111 that hold the seat unit 112; a wheelchair body 110 having front casters 120 and rear casters 129 attached to the front and the rear of the pair of side frames 111 respectively; a pair of main wheels 131; a connection shaft 132 for rotatably connecting the pair of main wheels 131; a pair of support arms 133 fixed to the connection shaft 132 that extend above the main wheels 131; main wheel units 130 having a pair of arm rests 134 formed at the top edge of the pair of support arms 133; and a connection mechanism 150 provided to the wheelchair body 110 that detachably connects the connection shaft 132 of the main wheel units 130 to the wheelchair body 110.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
