Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized wheelchair which does not require so much labor for operating hand rims and further is comparatively lightened.
SOLUTION: A wheelchair D1 is provided with a frame part 1, free wheels 2 or the like, driving wheels 4, etc., hand rims 6 or the like and battery part 11. A hub spindle 13 between the driving wheels 4 is protected by a disk-shaped casing 14. Inside the casing 14, a driving force detection part 40 for detecting manual driving force to be applied to the hand rims 6, motor 21 for driving the driving wheels 6 in auxiliary manner with electric driving force and control part 20 for controlling the motor 21 so as to add the prescribed electric driving force to the driving wheels 6 based on the detected result of the driving force detection part 40 are arranged.
