Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly wheelchair which can be operated easily and is improved in comfortableness when the wheelchair is used.
SOLUTION: The wheelchair which is provided with a carbody frame l, large-diameter wheels, casters 3, a seat 4, arm rests 6, a backrest 5, and a foot rest 7 and on which a person can sit is also provided with armrest driving mechanisms 400, a bearing surface tilting mechanism 100, a foot rest folding mechanism 200, and a braking mechanism 300. In addition, projecting sections are formed at the front center portion and both side portions of the seat 4.
