Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61166702
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce noise produced at a time of braking a wheel where a hub, a rib, and a spoke which are formed separately and assembled, by forming the spoke out of a pair of sheet metals, on the inner surface of which vibration isolators are arranged. CONSTITUTION:A front wheel 1 of a motorcycle is braked in such a way that a brake disk 6 which is formed as an integral part of the front wheel 1 and is arranged on the both sides of the front wheel, is held with pressure by a brake 7 arranged on a front fork 4. Here, the front wheel 1 is composed of a wheel 8 and a tubeless tire 9, and the wheel 8 comprises a hub 10, a rim 11, and a spoke 12, each of which is formed separately. And the rim 11 and the hub 10 are made of lightweight alloys such as magnesium alloy, aluminum alloy, and the like. On the other hand, the spoke 12 is formed out of a pair of sheet metals 13 and 14 in a disc form of the aluminum alloy and others. In addition, vibration isolators 21 are stuck on both inner surfaces of each of sheet metals 13 and 14 facing each other at an equal interval. And they are placed in several spots along the circumference so as to prevent possible resonance produced in the spoke 12 at a time of braking.
