PURPOSE: To obtain a whetstone for a fishing hook capable of preventing damage by initial contact and injury at the end of the whetstone, being efficiently abraded while keeping an angle at the tip of the fishing hook and of being readily retained at the tips of fingers because of a small-sized, lightweight and thin type.

CONSTITUTION: This whetstone for a fishing hook is obtained by making the bottom 2 of a whetstone main body 1 made of ceramic in a size retainable by one hand into a linear state, forming the whetstone main body into a chevroned state in which the top 3 has an apex at the middle in the length direction and the top is gradually dropped in a smooth curved to the front and rear ends of the whetstone main body 1 and making an abrading channel 4 along the shape of the top 3.
