To provide a whipped o/w type emulsion cosmetic having excellent stability of foam with time and good sense of use, and further to provide a method for producing the emulsion cosmetic.
This whipped o/w type emulsion cosmetic is characterized in that the cosmetic contains a gelatinizing amount of a gel-forming high-molecular material having no fluidity and ≥40°C melting point in the aqueous phase, a solid oil solid at normal temperature, and a nonionic surfactant as an emulsifier. The method for producing the whipped o/w type emulsion cosmetic is characterized in that an o/w type emulsion containing the high molecular material, the solid oil solid at the normal temperature, and the nonionic surfactant is foamed, and the resultant product in a foamed state is packed. In other aspect, the method for producing the whipped o/w type emulsion cosmetic is characterized in that the o/w type emulsion containing the solid oil solid at the normal temperature and the nonionic surfactant as the emulsifier and not containing the high-molecular material is foamed, the high-molecular material is mixed with the foamed base agent, and the resultant mixture is packed.
