To provide a whirl chamber body for a metal fusion furnace that enables downsizing, saves an installation space, reduces costs and facilitates maintenance.
A whirl chamber body for a metal fusion furnace includes a furnace body having a storage space for storing molten metal, and a whirl chamber body having a whirl chamber communicating with the storage space of the furnace body. The whirl chamber body includes a partition plate erected in the whirl chamber as a drop weir. The partition plate is arranged on the communication side with the storage space in the whirl chamber so that the length direction of the partition plate is along a communication direction, and partitions the communication side to form a first whirl chamber opening positioned on both sides of the partition plate and communicating with the storage space and the whirl chamber and a second whirl chamber opening communicating with the storage space and the whirl chamber. A gap for molten metal whirl is formed between a tip part inside the whirl chamber along the length direction of the partition plate and the inner wall of the whirl chamber body opposite to the tip part.
