To provide a white smoke preventive heat exchanging device for effectively utilizing high temperature exhaust heat in applications other than those for white smoke prevention, instead of a conventional white smoke preventive preheater or white smoke preventive fan.
The white smoke preventive heat exchanging device for preventing the white smoke of combustion exhaust gas generated from a dewatered sludge cake incinerator 2 comprises a pair of ceramic heat storage radiator groups 63a, 63b arranged therein for contacting primary side high temperature gas flows 6a, 6b and secondary side low temperature gas flows 6c, 6d, respectively, and four-way change-over type selector valves 62a, 62b arranged therebefore and therebehind. The operation of the selector valves changes over the primary side gas flows 6a, 6b distributing in one heat storage radiator group 63a so far into the secondary side gas flows 6c, 6d and at the same time changes over the secondary side gas flows 6c, 6d distributing in the other heat storage radiator group 63b into the primary side gas flows 6a, 6b.
