A wick material 10 is formed by plurally aligning corrugated sheets 11 which are constituted of wave crest parts 12, wave trough parts 13, and connection parts 14, and in which the wave crest parts 12 and the wave trough parts 13 are aligned on one straight strip-like zone Z having a fixed width as seen from above, in a width direction of the strip-like zone Z, and mutually and integrally connecting them. Wave crest parts 12 and wave trough parts 13 of two adjacent corrugated sheets 11 are displaced in a length direction of the strip-like zone Z. By connecting and integrating wave crest parts 12 and wave trough parts 13 of the plurality of continuously aligned corrugated sheets 11, a wave crest part array 15 and a wave trough part array 16 positioned on a line inclined in one end in a longitudinal direction from one side edge part to the other side edge part in the width direction are alternately provided side by side.
