Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle zoom lens: having a short overall optical length and a zoom ratio comparable with conventional zoom ratios; and capable of achieving a field angle of 110° or greater at a wide angle end and having a small configured first lens group.SOLUTION: A wide-angle zoom lens includes, in order from an object side: a first lens group G1 having negative refractive power, a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power, a third lens group G3 having negative refractive power, and a fourth lens group having positive refractive power. The wide-angle zoom lens varies power by varying distances between individual lenses, and satisfies the following conditional expression (1): 3.1<|BFw/F1|<5...(1), where F1 is a focal length of the first lens group and BFw is a distance between a lens surface closest to the side of an image surface at the time of infinite focus at a wide angle end and the image surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
