To provide a wide area disaster support device for an elevator capable of effectively implementing a restoration plan with priorities assigned to lifesaving even if a user is confined in an elevator car during wide area disaster.
In this system, if wide area disaster occurs and a wide area disaster support device S1 is started, an analysis result signal from an image analysis device for analyzing by image-processing imaged data by imaging devices provided in elevating machines EL1 to EL3 is issued to a monitoring center K1 through monitoring terminals T1 to T3 and a general public telephone circuit N. The image analysis device issues the analysis result signal added with a ranked urgency index if an aspect in need of rescue of users in the elevating machines EL1 to EL3 is identified. The monitoring center K1 identifies a current position of a worker based on positional information acquired from a portable terminal TM for worker, refers to the urgency index indicated in the analysis result signal, produces an optimal traveling route for the elevating machines EL1 to EL3 with priority assigned thereto, and provides it to the portable terminal TM.
