Abstract:

To provide a wideband dispersion control optical fiber that can transmit light signals of various wavelength bands and perform short-, intermediate-, and long-distance transmission by using only one optical fiber regardless of a transmission distance.

The wideband dispersion control optical fiber is adapted to long-distance transmission by making it possible to use light signal of a wavelength band of a wavelength-division multiplex communication network and controlling a dispersion tilt and bending loss. The dispersion value is controlled to a negative value for an O-band wavelength band and to a positive value for C-band and L-band wavelength bands, so that one optical fiber is capable of short-, intermediate-, and long-distance transmission.
