Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a less power consuming winch driving motor that can be reduced in size.SOLUTION: A winch driving motor 2 is so configured that, when electricity is fed to a coil 12a wound around a stator 12 opposing a rotor 13 fitted to a rotor shaft 14, a brake disk 20 is sucked by a sucking device 19 to separate the brake disk 20 from an internal frame 11a thereby to release a brake. In the winch driving motor 2, the rotor 13 has a permanent magnet 31 at least in part, and a magnetic gap G1 in the axial direction between the rotor 13 and the sucking device 19 is configured to be greater than a magnetic gap G2 in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction between the rotor 13 and the stator 12 so that substantially all the lines of magnetic force from the permanent magnet 31 of the rotor 13 flow to the stator 12.
