To provide a wind power generation device capable of generating electric power from a low wind power condition to a high wind power condition with high efficiency using both of a low-speed cross-flow type wind mill and a high-speed Darrieus type wind mill without increasing the size of the device.
The Darrieus type wind mill 1 and the cross-flow type wind mill 2 are installed up and down, and a rotary central shaft 11 of the wind mill on one side is inserted into a hollow rotary shaft 12 of the wind mill on the other side. Rotation force of the cross-flow type wind mill 2 is transmitted to the Darrieus type wind mill 1 as rotation starting force by a transmission member. When the Darrieus type wind mill 1 becomes in a predetermined rotation condition, transmission of rotation force is shut off by a clutch to prevent rotation force of the cross-flow type wind mill 2 from being transmitted to the Darrieus type wind mill 1.
