Abstract:
To provide a reliable wind power generator with high generation efficiency capable of suppressing vibration of a windmill generated accompanying fluctuations in a wind velocity, and a control method thereof.SOLUTION: A wind power generator includes a rotor composed of a hub and a plurality of blades, a nacelle for rotatably supporting the rotor, a tower for supporting the nacelle, a pitch angle control device for controlling a pitch angle of the blade, and a LiDAR anemometer for measuring a wind velocity. The pitch angle control device includes a wind velocity prediction part for predicting a wind velocity input to the rotor from a windward side wind velocity measured by the LiDAR anemometer, a period component detection part for extracting prediction wind velocity fluctuations in a resonance frequency component of the wind power generator from the prediction wind velocity predicted by the wind velocity prediction part, and a pitch calculation part for calculating a target pitch angle based on the prediction wind velocity fluctuations extracted by the period component detection part. The pitch angle of the blade is controlled based on the target pitch angle calculated by the pitch calculation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
