Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generator capable of substantially improving a power generation efficiency by accelerating a rotor up to a specified rotation speed under a low wind speed and capable of performing power generation efficiently while restricting the rotor against its rotation exceeding its rated number of rotation even under a strong wind.SOLUTION: This invention includes control means 4 for performing repetitive control in such a way that a motor also acting as an auxiliary power generator 14 is automatically started as a motor when wind speed detecting means 27 detects a prescribed average wind speed, the motor is accelerated and rotated up to a state in which a peripheral speed of a rotor 2 reaches a specified value, the motor is stopped, and when the wind speed detecting means 27 detects a rated average wind speed of the rotor, the motor also acting as an auxiliary power generator 14 is changed over to an auxiliary power generator to generate power, when the wind speed detecting means 27 detects again the specified average wind speed, the motor is started again, accelerated and rotated until a peripheral speed of the rotor 2 reaches the specific speed to stop the motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
