To provide a wind pressure resistance reducing structure for a ship, which can reduce wind pressure resistance of the ship by reducing wind pressure against an upper structure susceptible to the wind pressure, and the ship.
The wind pressure resistance reducing structure for the ship having the upper structure 1 erected the an upper deck D of a hull is characterized in that a ventilating hole 2 penetrating in the longitudinal direction of the hull is formed in a part of the upper structure 1. The ventilating hole 2 includes, for example, a bow-side opening 21 which is formed on the front side of the upper structure 1, a stem-side opening 22 which is formed on the backside of the upper structure 1, and a wall surface portion which forms a space making the bow-side opening 21 and the stem-side opening 22 communicate with each other.
