Title:
WIND TURBINE GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007051561
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a wind turbine generator which has a simple structure, efficiently generates power, and can be installed in confined areas without restrictions in the installation place.

The wind turbine generator 1 comprises a wind-receiving vane 10, and piezoelectric plates 11a/11b. The wind-receiving vane 10 has a structure wherein a nearly trapezoidal platy member having opposing short-sides of different lengths, and the length is longer than the short side is breadthwise folded into two at a specified angle θ. The piezoelectric plates 11a/11b serve as a power-generation part which generates power by vibration of the wind-receiving vane 10. On receiving wind force, the wind-receiving vane 10 causes torsional vibration to produce deflection in the piezoelectric plates 11a/11b. The platy power-generation part comprises the plates 11a and 11b. In the plate 11a, the plane containing the plate and the bisector plane of the wind-receiving vane folded at the specified angle are parallel to each other, and the direction of vibration is approximately orthogonal to the bisector plane, while in the plate 11b, the plane containing the plate and the bisector plane of the wind-receiving vane are perpendicular to each other, and the direction of the vibration is approximately parallel to the bisector. Thus, power-generation is efficiently performed.
