Abstract:
To provide a wind turbine generator including an inexpensive bearing unit which can assure braking force.
The wind turbine generator is provided with a nacelle 2 which is mounted on a tower 1 with the bearing unit interposed therebetween in such a manner that the nacelle 2 can revolve around the axial line of the tower 1, a rotor head attached to the top end of the nacelle 2, and a plurality of blades fixed to the rotor head. The bearing unit 5 includes sliding members 6a, b, c having sliding surfaces formed of polymeric material, and pressure means 7a, b for pressing the sliding members 6a, b, c so as to apply the braking force to the nacelle 2.
