PURPOSE: To provide a wind-up type insect screen having an opening and closing manipulation force which is substantially equal to that f a rolled curtain, a freedom of screen material selectivity, a large diameter of a roll and a holding ability of opposite sides of the screen on sliding by forming the insect screen in its opposite side parts with a plurality of holes adapted to be aligned with the positions of protrusions provided on looped belts and having a shape complementary with that of the protrusions.

CONSTITUTION: An insect screen is coated over its opposite side parts with resin, and is formed, at regular intervals, therein with holes adapted to be aligned with the positions of protrusions on looped belts 3 and having a size corresponding to that of the protrusions. Further, guide rails are laid along the opposite side parts of the screen 1. Further, protrusions projected from the looped belt 3 through the holes in the screen 1 are slidably held grooves formed in the guide rails. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the manipulatability.
