To provide a wind wheel which can be utilized for wind power generation, can rotate while facing any direction irrespective of a direction of wind, and can stably rotate in an ordinary wind and even in a strong wind such as a typhoon.

This wind wheel is provided with a rotating blade which is helically provided around a vertical support shaft. The rotating blade has a curved shape which starts at a position on the support shaft to which the rotating blade is mounted, and the shape gradually hangs down in an umbrella shape as the outer periphery of the blade is approached. Wind receiving plates are provided to the surface of the rotating blade. Also, the wind wheel comprises curved, cover-shaped supplemental blades for collecting wind and taking the wind therein, and the rotating blade is provided with openings for allowing the wind, which has flown into the supplemental blades, to flow out to a side of an opposite surface of the rotating blade.
